Deployment issues

I'm working on a network deployment for ReCap & ReCap Photo 2019. When I install manually from the download, the programs install correctly. When I create a deployment, however, the installer launches briefly, then exits with no errors, no log files being created in %temp%, and no Event Viewer events. This behavior persists across multiple computers. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Are you running the deployment in silent mode?  If yes modify deployment and uncheck silent mode and see what happens.

Hey, that'd be a good start.

Removed /q from the installation string, changed "EXE_PARAM=/quiet /norestart" to "EXE_PARAM=/norestart" under [MSI] and [NLSDL] in the setup .ini file. Installation proceeded as expected, with a clickable UI. Those were the only changes made. Installation successful.

I'm a little puzzled right now, to be honest.

I'm downloading the newest copy of the installer right now, since I'm being prompted to update. Hopefully whatever is blocking silent installation is resolved with that.

Hello @Anonymous,

Please review the Best Practices for creating a deployment & if you are placing the deployment of the network specify a direct network path for example, use  \\server\share\folder

Well, downloading today seems to have resolved whatever peculiarities were going on. No idea what changed, I re-downloaded the downloader and rebuilt the deployment multiple times on Friday. Still getting prompted for updates, but I can deal with that.

The only difference that I'm aware of between my functional silent deployment from today and my broken one from Friday is that the deployment is named "Recap2019" and not "RecapPro2019".

@Mark.Lancaster thanks for the assist. Not sure what to mark as "solution" since nothing really solved this other than time.
