COMPUTER CRASH - NEW COMPUTER AND ACAD 2021 - NEED TO REACTIVATE

I am a consulting engineer, sole proprietor, one man shop.  My work computer big time crashed and would not boot.  After much painful attempting to revive it I was forced to purchase a new computer.  I first bought acad in the mid 1980's and continued to feed the beast much $$ over the years.

I have a perpetual  license.   I installed the 2021 version and have been using it since.  I have many canonizations on it.  I did manage to recover the hard drive files and programs.   I used a program that transferred all my files, programs, settings, etc. to the new computer.  The program worked beautifully!  However, my auto cad programs now require reactivation!!!

Who do I need to contact in Autodesk to get help???

My business obviously depends on ACAD and I need to get it working!  Quickly, I am dead in the water.

 

HELP!!!

@RAFUSE So you just need to activate the program, yes? Just login when you start the program using your Autodesk Account that is tied to your perpetual license and it will be activated.

 

Do you still have access to your Autodesk Account that the license was purchased with? That is going to be a requirement.

 

On a side note: do you have the last update for AutoCAD 2021 installed? It's this one

I am unable to access my account with Autodesk, likely since it's been "so long".

I do have the original ACAD 2021 installation file I downloaded in 2020.  I ran Autocad and it spit this out.

 

Not eligible for online activation
Your product cannot be activated online due to one or more of the following reasons:
  • The product version you are trying to activate is not available under the license for your upgraded product.
  • Your subscription has expired.
  • You are not using the most up-to-date serial number.

To get help, Contact Customer Support to submit a case.
(Click Activation Codes and Request Codes > Activation & Registration Support.)

That's going to be a big problem, not sure anyone here in these forums can give you a hall pass to activate your software. Sorry.

You could try this from Autodesk

And sadly cannot and run any older or newer version as a fix either, a perpetual license means you get no other option for free.
