Civil3d 2012 Internal Error 2738

Installing the 64-bit Civil3d 2012 on Windows 7 machine.  In task 4 of 11, the error: Internal Error 2738, appears and continues.  In the end, the installation says complete but some products failed to install, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and Audesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis 2012.  I found this article (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=17333961&linkID=9240697) and it still doesn't install giving the same error.  Please help.  I currently use Civil3d 2010.  I should also mention that earlier this year I tried to install vanilla AutoCAD 2012 and was unsuccessful but not sure if this is the same issue.  We ended up installing vanilla autoCAD on another machine but then I finally got around to trying the Civil 3d.  Any help or pointers appreciated.
