Cancel and Refund needed

For an animation test, I had to do it I downloaded and use the trial version of 3Ds MAX.

After I was done with my test I canceled my subscription but apparently was not canceled. Unfortunately, not only I didn't pass the test but  I was charged  U$185 for the subscription wich I canceled more than 10 days back !!

I'm feeling frustrated by how Autodesk is handling this situation.

I don't even have this money to pay you guys, I need a refund for the amount charged

Please help !!

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

First of all this is not Autodesk!!!

This is a user based forum and we have no way to issue refunds or to troubleshoot your issue.  Please contact and Autodesk Agent >>here<<.  In addition you can't be using a trial version of a software to take and/or pass a test.  Trials are only to be used to determine if the application works for you and that you want to purchase it.

Hello Mark,

thanks for answering me.

I'm an animator and when I was asked an animation test, the STUDIO TOLD me to download a trial so I could do the test for them. And to be honest this practice is quite common among animators.

And thank you for the link.

Have a good one!

Well its a violation of the terms you accept for a trial and the studio shouldn't be telling you to do that or has the authority to do that...  Just because its a common practice doesn't mean its a thing you should do.

Forgive me, but how did you end up paying for a trial version?

Did you go beyond the days allowed and needed more time so you put in your credit card information?

Hello @pendean,

I gave my information before I downloaded the trial and that's my point on this topic here:

I CANCELED my subscription but I was still charged after a month even though it was canceled.

Have a good one!

Certain trial versions depending on where you download them from Autodesk requires credit card info.  Not sure why but it does..

Hi @Anonymous,

We're sorry that your subscription was auto-renewal although you had cancelled it. We're now taking care of your refund request through Case # 13161038.

Trial versions for 3ds Max and Maya automatically generate a recurring monthly subscription, with the first month for free. Customers should be able to turn off the auto-renewal if they don't wish to subscribe, but unfortunately this did not work for you. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Regards,

Why is that?  If I download them from the Autodesk Virtual Agent I can start a 30 day trial of these products with no subscription and/or credit card information.
