Can't reinstall 3ds Max (says it is already installed)

Hey everyone, I am in despreate need for some help.

I recently uinstalled 3ds Max 2015 because I was missing some file from Directconnect 2015. However, because I was having issues with the uinstaller I manually removed 3ds Max from my harddrive. This was a bad idea since I am now unable to reinstall 3ds Max 2015 since it says it is already installed. Here is a screenshot:

I have tried to use the guides on Autodesk's website for removing all Autodesk software (registries as well) but nothing works. I am still unable to install. Quite irritated as I can't do a lot of my work since much of it revolves around using 3ds Max. I would really appreciate if someone could help me, I've been trying to figure this out for hours.

(btw, before anyone suggests it. I've tried to use the fix-it windows thing but I am unable to use it since I am using Windows 10)

I know the previous reply is a bot, but I would like to note that I have tried the above guide and (as stated above) it does NOT solve my problem.

After hours upon hours googling around I managed to find a solution. In case anyone else is having this problem I thought I would share it here so no one has to go through the trouble I did.

I found this old piece of software on this thread: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/installation-licensing/microsoft-installer-clean-up-utility-for-add-re... (Windows install clean up) which seems to be an older version of fix it - but this one works on Windows 10! I downloaded the software, opened it, chose to remove 3ds max and BAM - I can install again.

I hope someone can find this useful. Good luck 🙂
