Can't launch Maya 2009 (License problem)

I have been using Maya 2009 Unlimited for a long time and I managed so far with some workarounds but while it usually was a matter of app comparing the hardware id of wifi OR ethernet now the lmgrd launches correctly but Maya won't start.

21:33:12 (lmgrd) FLEXnet Licensing (v11.5.0.0 build 56285 i86_mac10) started on cgartists-eu.local (Mac) (4/24/2015)

21:33:12 (lmgrd) License file(s): /usr/local/flexlm/licenses/license.dat

21:33:12 (lmgrd) lmgrd tcp-port 7111

21:33:12 (lmgrd) Starting vendor daemons ...

21:33:12 (lmgrd) Started sgiawd (internet tcp_port 49466 pid 3133)

21:33:12 (sgiawd) FLEXnet Licensing version v11.5.0.0 build 56285 i86_mac10

21:33:12 (sgiawd) Server started on cgartists-eu.local for:MayaUnltdf

21:33:12 (sgiawd) MayaFluidSimf MayaMRFMUnlimitedf

21:33:12 (sgiawd) EXTERNAL FILTERS are OFF

21:33:12 (lmgrd) sgiawd using TCP-port 49466

When I managed to get to this point where lmgrd launches clean, Maya always launched perfectly and worked perfectly as well. What happened? I need Maya to run, I paid for it and it doesn't seem to be OS problem OR Maya - just licensing.

If licensing software provided by Autodesk doesn't work can I request Maya version that has licensing disabled? Or keys for current Maya version? I was happy with 2009 version and I don't need corrent. I am not using it so much to pay for it again as it paid itself barely so far.

I would edit the  the aw_client.dat file with the following entries:

SERVER your-server-name-or-IP-address 0 7111

USE_SERVER

You need the 7111 at the end of the client file.

The locations of the aw_client.dat file is /var/flexlm or C:\flexlm

I have spent soooo much time on that!  Eventually did not change anything in license file - only I have used

cgartists-eu:~ cgartists$ /usr/aw/COM/etc/lmgrd -c /var/flexlm/aw_server.dat

so it takes license from the path you pointed and then it simply started working again!

The path to license changed some long time ago to that /usr/local/flexlm/licenses/licence.dat and it worked but it just stopped.

Now, thanks to you, I have my lovely Maya working again.

Thank you very much!
