I know this is a known problem, but I've tried all known solutions on the forum and can't get it to work. I installed AutoCAD 2021 and want to activate. But when I get to the activation stage, the window keeps popping up a script error:
Pardon the French but as you can see it is not the regular script error that fails on a local script. This is a remote script. After this failure there are others but I think the first failure is the reason for the subsequent ones. I've tried:
- Starting autocad without the language code in the desktop shortcut
- Resetting internet explorer (which seems to be the source browser that is used in the background) to its defaults
- Changing all kinds of compatibility policies in internet explorer when using intranet sites
- Removing the 'new Edge browser' all together
- Setting internet explorer as my default browser
- Clicking 'yes' when it asks if I want to continue executing script and then waiting for a long time
- Starting acad.exe as an administrator
- All kinds of combinations of the above
None worked: I keep getting the friggin screen. There must be some simple solution right?
