Autodesk will not start / License problem

Hello,

my Autodesk Inventor Professional 2013 will not start. After doubleklick the Icon the Program opens the fist screen (see attached file) The window will close after few secounds.

A few days ago I installed the program - and all works fine. After I´ve done a wrong klick in "License Transfer Utility" the problem occurs. I cannot open Autodesk and the License Transfer Utility.

I reinstalled Autodesk, .Net 4  several times.... without a solution

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you.

Thanks for updating with log file. Since VendorID=2 [ADLMACT] normally related to the activation info, so maybe there is something wrong with some files under the folder C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdLM. So my suggestion is try to remove all the Autodesk by this solution, then try to reinstall, you maybe need to reactive your product.

Be sure to clear any remaining folders, files and registers according to above solution.

Hi Emily,

I´ve reinstalled Autodesk as described in the manual. (delte autodesk in control panel, delete folders, clean regestry, delete temp, reboot, deactivate antivirus...)

But in the end I´ve the same problem as before.... Autodesk Inventor Professional 2013 will not start....

All "other programs" like Inventor Vusion 2013, Autodesk Vault Basic 2013, DWG True View 2013 open without problem.

Do you have any more ideas?

Best regards,

Daniel

Daniel,

The issue could be around what folders you have deleted after you uninstalled Inventor. You will find Inventor folders in these locations and you should only worry about those folders clearly named Inventor:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\

C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\

C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\

C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\Autodesk\

Next, you could try to rename the TSF file. It will resemble this: ADSKFLEX_NUMBERS_TSF.data. It will be located here:

C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet

Rename this file and then try to start the application.

Thank you for taking part in our community!

Hi David, Emely,

The problem is now fixed.

First I´ve done all as you described and reinstalled it- but this doesn´t work.

This is my solution:

1)Do everything you wrote

2)I´ve done a backup of the regestry and deleted every folder with "Autodesk" keys inside.

3)Reboot, Reinstall -> all ok 🙂

Best regards,

Daniel
