Autodesk User Management

I'm hoping I have the right location.

Part of my job is to add and remove users access to Autodesk page i.e. Autodesk helpdesk, TokenFlex, updates and the products we have access to.

When someone leave the company, I am to remove access to product we provide while maintaining the history.  IE they just want me to deactivate their account and not delete it.

I haven't been able to figure out a way to deactivate the account.  Is my only choice is to delete the account?

I am not sure if I understand you correctly. Does your company want to keep the past users on the user list but without access to the software? After you unassign a license from an account, that user account will not be able to access the product anymore. So there is no need to delete the user from the list if your company wants to keep track of who has been employed in the past. One suggestion would be to ask Autodesk to move these inactive users to a separate Team (e.g. called "Past Employees") so that they do not clutter the active users list.

NOTE: The user on your screenshot is a Secondary Admin, meaning they will have access to manage licenses. If this is an example of a user who's left, you should change their role to "User" to take those rights away.

Yes, they want to keep past users on the user list but without access.

All I have to do is unassigned someone?  I've been asking but no one, not even my boss had a clue that this is all we had to do.

I will talk to someone about create a Past Employees team.  would this be something I can do?

The screenshot is for my account.

Yes, it's as simple as clicking a button to take a user's right to use software away:

Unassign products by user | Account Management | Autodesk Knowledge Network

At the moment only Autodesk support can create new Teams and move your users between them, so you would have to contact them to organise this:

Contact Customer Support | Autodesk Knowledge Network
