Autodesk Maya 2011 and License Failing to Authenticate

Yesterday evening, my copy of Maya 2011 64bit began to "freeze" and then crash. It, along with the rest of the Entertainment Suite that I own, no longer loads. There seems to be an issue with the license unable to be authenticated.

I own a legitimate copy of this software that I use for my own personal training usage, for non-commercial personal projects. I also am running Windows 7 PRO 64bit. Latest Windows updates have been installed etc.

I have tried removing license files, running the LTU - which I've learned is a non-functioning program, re-installing Maya - which doesn't do anything with the license tool.

I've downloaded Microsoft's Process Monitor and in the log there shows LMU.exe is trying to access registries such as HKCU\Software\Classes\3DConnection.3drtwidget NAME NOT FOUND and HKCU\Software\Classes\3DConnection.ABIT.2 NAME NOT FOUND

This software has been working fine up until last evening.

Have the licensing servers been down, or worse decommissioned for older software?

I know this is a long shot with such old software, but it would be greatly appreciated if I could get some help with this!

Thanks!

Hello @Anonymous,

Autodesk provides support for the current version & three versions back. The community may be able to assist you if they have had success maintaining old product, please note that unsupported product may not function on a newer operating system.

Please review the system requirements before attempting to download & install.
