Hello everybody,
I have the problem that I have been doing the o.g. Update can NOT install.
Has anyone experience what you can do there?
Do I really need that?

Yes you really need it to ensure you have the latest licensing mechanism. But review this https://synergiscadblog.com/2019/11/14/new-improved-autodesk-2020-licensing-mechanism/ and make sure you are checking the version of your Microsoft C++ as indicated in that article.

Sven,
Quite a few people are reporting this issue. It shows in the Desktop App, you "install" it from there. Says installed, only to see it back in the Desktop APP needing to be installed and not showing in the folder as installed.
Currently I'm telling people to hold off. If your Autodesk software is working ... skip it for now.
If it's not, let us know I have another workaround that might help.
