Autodesk 2023 Licenses no longer backwards compatible?

Hello,
I wanted to see if I could get confirmation on this? It appears the new 2023 licenses are not licensing older products (i.e. 2022, 2021, etc.) like they have in the past. Is this is an expected behavior?
I still have computer labs running 2022 products and our 2022 licenses have just expired. I generated the new 2023 licenses but the 2022 products are no longer licensed and cannot use a 2023 license. In addition, I can't activate a new 2022 serial number for the products.
Autodesk gives me the new serial number here ( https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview ) but I need to generate a new network license here ( https://registeronce.autodesk.com ). When I input the 2022 serial number, I get the error: The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1).
It sounds like we need to migrate to 2023 ASAP as I can't update our 2022 licenses nor does the 2023 licenses license older products.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
