Autocad web and mobile plugin for Windows 10

I work in a large Further Education college and have recently rolled out AutoCAD Mechanical 2019 to approx 300 PCs as part of our annual re-imaging programme, I have now found out that we require the Autocad web and mobile plugin adding to these PCs. At present I can only see the 'per machine' function for adding this plugin, is there a way in which this can be downloaded and packaged for distribution via Microsoft SCCM? We are currently running 64bit windows 10, version 1803.

I have tried using the link to install the add-on onto one machine, but keep getting the error message 'An unknown error occurred. Please try again'.  Could this be because the download site is offline for maintenance?

As far as I know educational accounts are not entitled to this benefit..  Its only a subscription based license that are entitled to it.

Update:  Or I was wrong..  My bad..

This is an app (AutocAD Mobile) you  install on your portable devices..  Not something you install on the machine that has AutoCAD already on it.

Can I also ask why an educational institution would require a mobile AutoCAD app?  Just trying to understand what use would you require for a mobile app when the software can only be used for training students? .

Update:  Meaning are students going to a factory to have their stuff built or something like that, or a community place where machinery is offered as a training service or are they building stuff right in the  institution?

Again just trying to understand the need of the mobile interface.

Hi Mark

Having updated to AutoCAD 2019 I was wondering where the Autodesk 360 Desktop app had got to, only to find that it has now been discontinued, I was therefore looking to add the plugin to the Windows edition to enable easy access to the A360 Drive.

Until this academic year the students have had access to a personal network storage area hosted within the college, but this facility has now been removed and most students only have access to a Microsoft OneDrive, which is not necessarily suitable for AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings, so myself and the tutors are looking to direct the Engineering students towards A360 Drive. At present, the only way I can see this working is for the students to temporarily save their drawings to the desktop, then drag and drop into A360, however this means they would also need to drag and drop onto the desktop in order to open existing drawings.

As the students are not always in the same classroom, they DO need a method of storage which allows them to open their files anywhere, but preferably NOT by using USB drives.

I tried launching AutoCAD afresh and got a pop-up stating that the Web and Mobile Plugin had loaded, so that means the download and installation had worked, this led me to suspect that the traffic was being blocked at the corporate firewall. I got the network team to grant me free access through the firewall and everything was working fine, so we added the 2 IP addresses listed and it continued to work for a short while, it then became a bit hit and miss.

It appears that as the data is hosted on Amazon Web Services, there is a wide range of IP addresses associated with this service which are difficult to pin down. Does anybody know the URL/URLs we need to open up on our corporate firewall in order to get this service working properly?
