Autocad offline Error Code: STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN

I've tried searching online and can't find a fix to this problem. I can still use autocad just fine but working in offline removes certain features.

Just a hunch...

In Options, do you have an entry at Web File Search Path?

It looks as though I do, what should that value be? The only thing I have done differently recently is open autocad at a job site, potentially offline.

"It looks as though I do, what should that value be? "

Well, I suppose you can have it be any valid path you like.

My "hunch" is that having it point to "anything" makes AutoCAD "look at" and attempt to "resolve" or verify any web addresses at that location.

So, you could try  removing the path (save it somewhere in case you need to put it back) and see if that "resolves" the error. If it doesn't, then we're barking up the wrong tree.

I tried removing and received this message. It did not fix my problem. Upon changing it back I received the same message, hopefully that didn't create a new problem.

That "log files" message is not related to the change you made. Check your Log File Location in Options, Files tab to resolve that.

If changing the Web File Search Path had no effect, then apparently it's something else.

Do you have any 3rd-party add-ins that might access the web?

Another possibility is that this is related to Desktop Analytics or some other Autodesk web-based app that runs with AutoCAD.

We'll have to see if anyone else has some insights.

Looking at the image again, I now see that this is on the Start tab.

Apparently there is something on or about the Start tab that requires connection to the web.

If you don't normally use the Start tab, then it can be disabled with the StartMode command. (1 to enable, 0 to disable.)

I don't need the start page but I do use it to jump between multiple documents. It seems this error has caused all web based functionality to halt. Including start page, help, command macros, etc. I appreciate the effort!

"It seems this error has caused all web based functionality to halt."

If the "error" is being offline, then yes, it has caused that (understandably).

Update: I reinstalled autocad and the problem no longer persists. So I guess this is resolved.
