AutoCAD in WVD (Windows Virtual Desktop)

We are having an issue where we deploy WVD workstations with an orchestration tool into Azure. This tool has a gold image and deploys workstations from that, running sysprep to do so. When we test the apps they work fine on the gold image, but the deployed workstations all the apps are broken. Even in add\remove programs they appear broken as well.

I have a support ticket open for this but curious if anyone in the forums has dealt with deploying Win10 workstations from gold image successfully? I've read the Citrix, VMware and VDI topics that i could find but nothing like it.

Anyone have any idea?

Have not done this, but am interested in this process. When you say the "apps are broken", what does that mean exactly? Can they be fixed by running a repair? Did this work in the past for you, or is this a first attempt?

TIA

Thanks for the reply. The apps are broken as such they can't be run, the folder is missing and in add\remove programs if you try and change\repair it says they are gone and do you want to remove them.

Works fine on the gold image. Deploy a workstation from it and they are broken. Our MS rep told me there is some "ISV certified process" to deploy with WVD, but I haven't been able to find it yet.

edit: To add i just got invovled but it sounds like we havent had it working before in this manner. I can deploy a Win10 desktop to Azure fine with it, but the orchastration\scaling tool with the gold image deployment, doesnt work. I looped in their support and they are pointing to autodesk support.

We figured this out. We had to copy the info from the installed users c:\users\bobsmith\appdata\local and roaming to the c:\users\default\appdata local and roaming as well.

We experience the same issue, we deploy a AVD image using Packer, install Autocad applications, afterwards we Sysprep the image, if we then try to logon to the AVD deploy VMs we get an license error.

we tried the suggested solution copy of the appdata files from the install user to the default profile, but without any succes.
