AutoCAD 2022 for Mac Installer 'prepares for installation' then nothing happens

I uninstalled everything to try to solve a 'Licence checkout' problem

and now AutoCAD will not install at all past the dmg installer 'preparing for installer'.

I have tried all the forum stuff I can find. I've tried 2022 and 2023 - no difference.

Everything is cleaned out so there should no conflicts. 

Has anyone had this/ got a fix?

Hello @julesbennett, 

I recommend conducting the steps below to start fresh and install the product again. 

1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the previous installation & use the MSfixitTool to complete it
2. Reboot the computer, make sure apps are not auto running in the background 
3. Log in as Administrator (check your permissions, full control) or create a new profile
4. Make sure you have a strong connection & good internet speed 
5. Clean out the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter (Windows)
6. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system
7. Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)

Hi Natasha
Thanks for the suggested solution - I had done these steps several times
and it didn't work for me, though my software is very clean!.
Finally with the help of Paul from Autodesk he discovered a disk utilities
issue and I am thankfully back up and running again. Yay.

Can you elaborate on what the disk utilities solution is please? 
I am having possibly similar issue - I have downloaded the offlline file, unpacked the installation, running setup pops up the 'initialising setup' box progresses about third of the way and then just disappears/stops
