AutoCAD 2019 Installation Frozen at 9 of 16 on Win 10 Build 1903

I am trying to conduct an offline install of AutoCAD 2019 on a Win 10 build 1903 machine via the standalone installer. The installation process has been stuck on 9 of 16 for over an hour. I have received zero error messages? Does any one have any ideas?

Hello @Anonymous,

What download method did you use?

If you are using a Download Now or Install Now you want to try a more effective method called Browser Download.

Please conduct the steps below to start fresh, preparing the system beforehand.

  1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the previous installation & use the MSfixitTool to complete it
  2. Reboot the computer, make sure apps are not auto running in the background
  3. Log in as Administrator (check your permissions, full control) or create a new profile
  4. Make sure you have an uninterrupted & high-speed connection to the internet
  5. Clean out the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter (Windows)
  6. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system
  7. Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)
  8. If the issue continues, please try using Windows Utilities like Event Viewer to locate a operating systems issue

I will follow the steps you have listed, but it should be mentioned that this is an offline install. The workstation is in a secure environment that will not permit a direct connection to the internet.

Would it be any easier to bypass 2019 and move straight to 2020?

If it was me..  I wouldn't recommend using the Win 10 Build 1903..    There is some known issues where its impacting Autodesk product..   Nothing for AutoCAD that I have heard of yet but other Autodesk product are impacted.

Update:  What product of the installation is hung on?
