Good day:
First of all, thanks in advance to anyone that is willing to take some valuable time to provide or even suggest a solution for my issue.
I've using AutoCAD since I have memory (early release 11 in late 80's), so this isn't my first rodeo. now the facts:
- I run Win 10 Pro, Id. AA129, as a local admin. Currently have installed AutoCAD 2015 & 2017, both with the latest updates and service packs, and also CADWorx 2017 a 3rd party plug-in for 3D plant and equipment modelling from Intergraph, which by the way it's been used in my company for more than 5 years, with no particular issues, .
- I've worked with 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017 versions of AutoCAD and similar versions of CADWorx with absolutely no problems, until yesterday when it started to freeze on opening (start tab), leaving me with no chance to do anything, not even to see my desktop. the only thing to do is to close the application via the Task Manager.
- Tried to open AutoCAD with (and without) the CADWorx plug-in, when 2017 crashed for the umpteenth time, I tried 2015 with similar results.
- I logged in with a different user on my machine, tried 2015 & 2017 with similar results.
- Tried the "Reset Settings to Default", and..., guess what?, nothing.
The only thing left to do, from my point of view, is to reinstall the software, so if anyone out there had a similar issue and found a solution, I'd be really appreciative if its shared.
Thanks,
Ernesto Alvarez.
