How can I get an activation code for moving 2009 version of acad to new computer

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

New computer, does that mean a new operating system like Win 10? This legacy version will not run on Windows 10.

In addition why can't you just select activate when you launch the product after its been installed? Are you getting a error message?

My old computer has an issue and kicks me out of acad. Says unhandled exception e06d736h
exception 7c812fd3h whatever that means.
The new laptop is windows 10 and I've installed it on there and it runs except use runs out after 30 days without activation code.
