activation code not received

Help!

I have been trying to get my autoCAD program up and running for the last two days. I have received multiple activation codes but none of them seem to work. It asks for 16 sets of 4 numbers but the activation codes I have received only contain 14. I have proceeded to try them anyways but when I enter them and press next, it says that there is a problem with the activation code that I have entered. This is extremely frustrating as like I said, I have been trying to get this program up and running for two days.

At first there was an issue with the serial number as it was saying that it wasn’t activated. So now I have been trying to activate the program through the offline option – which is where I have been trying to enter the activation code. I have already sent out a request for a new activation code and I have been waiting a while to hear a response.

What am I to do!?

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about the issue. Generally, you send in a request code, activation and registration would send you an activation code. Your product appears to be a desktop subscription, all you should need to do for this is to make sure you are signed into the program and enter the serial number provided to you in your Autodesk Account. Is there a particular reason you are trying to go through the activation code route?

Hi Matthew,

I was using that route because when I enter the serial number it doesn't go through. It says that I need to contact an administrator or something of that nature. So I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I went to my autodesk account and was making sure that I had access to all of the information seeing as I'm the only one that is going to be using the program. But no luck no matter what I do.

Thanks,

Jennifer

It sounds like you have a desktop subscription (but I'm only assuming since I don't know the exact message)   If its a desktop subscription, are you the contract manager for that subscription?  If not then that person has to assign the usage of that application to your Autodesk ID.
