Hi!

I tried do install the trial version of 3ds Max on my new computer and I can't open the installation setup. When I run the trial installation .exe, I get this error: "Unhandled unknown exception; terminating the application".

Can you help me? I've got Windows 10 64-bit with all updates.

Thank you!

I've tried this DOWNLOAD option, but instalation file of 3ds max 2021 still doesn't work. Shows error that says that there are more than one file to download and at least one of them didn't download properlity.

This happened to me with Maya the same problem.
I just had to desactivate the adBlock and download it again.
I realized that having adBlock activated did not download the installer correctly

I solved the problem. In my case, using the DOWNLOAD option, the browser was blocking the pop-up of an additional windows, hence the lack of all files. I just changed the settings in the browser options and unlocked it.

Make sure all 4 files download. Some may be blocked by pop-up blocker. If 1 or 2 downloaded previously you most delete those first as windows adds (1)...(n) to redundant downloads which created problems for me. Also had to delete all files from %temp% folder, and terminate mone "monitor.exe" that the installer prompted me to.

Hope that helps

Fixed it! If it says your trial has expired when you just downloaded it:

You need to select "enter a serial number"

Then select "run"

and it finally works!

Hello @paulo.duarte20 , @Anonymous, @Anonymous, @Anonymous, @Anonymous, and anyone else I missed -

I wanted to circle back on this thread and provide an update - partially thanks to this thread, we were able to identify and fix an issue on our back end that was producing the error you all were experiencing. We actually resolved it shortly after it was reported, but I personally neglected to follow up on this thread with the update it was an internal issue until now. My apologies for that.

However, in the interest of transparency - I did want you all to know that you were taking the correct troubleshooting actions, and that with the help of the excellent community and your detailed screenshots and steps taken to resolve - we were able to identify and correct the issue, preventing it happening to more students.

Thank you all for being active members of the forums and helping each other.
