3ds Max 2017 - product version 19

When 3DS Max 2017 first starts up, the program starts by running this command “mkdir “C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Autodesk….” and froze.

Our school is located inside a correctional institution where the students don’t have access to the C: drive. The students can only save their works on a network drive. Is there a configuration file somewhere that we can modify to re-direct this local path “C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Autodesk…” to a network drive? Thanks.
