3d max 2026 will not install

Hello.

I've just installed a fresh Windows 11 on to a new hard drive.

3D max will not install.

I'm getting the 1603 error

I did everything the provided solution link suggested I do to fix the problem. Nothing worked.

Everything else I've installed on this hard drive has worked perfectly. Including Adobe Suite.

Please advise.

Update:  I unchecked "civil view" from the install window and the install worked.

Naturally, I'd like to have the full package,

I had a look at 'path to files\3DSMAX_2026_en-US\x64\Comp\CV\pkg.CivilView.xml'. The installer should be located at x64/Comp/CV/3ds Max 2026 CivilView.msi (not in my case). An update should be in %PROGRAMDATA%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\3dsmax-civilview-2026-1.2.6.0\ (not in my case). And then there's this line looking like a download link: NetSWDLD/ODIS/prd/2026/3DSMAX/9A828478-DA5C-4A6F-8C35-D9A0346A4538/pkg.civilview0.tar.xz.

That should be https://efulfillment.autodesk.com/NetSWDLD/ODIS/prd/2026/3DSMAX/9A828478-DA5C-4A6F-8C35-D9A0346A4538...

Maybe you can download and install it separately?
