The overlay of pdfs and images on top of the terrain is a great idea. If that same functionality can be added to overlay on objects like buildings, billboards, etc. would be a great option. For example when you can get a high resolution photo of the front of an existing building and you can apply it directly to the front face would make the 3d model more realistic.
