Hi,

Is it possible to force a 3D Model not to cast shadows (like you can in Sketchup)?

Many thanks,

Steve

Go to the View Settings (Top bar, where it says "Conceptual" or "Engineering") and if you pick "Engineering", it doesn't show the Shadows. You can edit the views also and turn off various options to show the shadows or not

Thank you both for taking the time to reply, it is much appreciated. What I am trying to do is turn off the shadows for a specific 3D Model rather than the whole InfraWorks model e.g. City Furniture.

I am experimenting with a low poly alternative to using 3D text to label site features, and would rather the banner does not cast shadows like below:

Low poly banner using texture showing labelLow poly banner using texture showing labelIn Sketchup you can choose not to cast shadows for an objectIn Sketchup you can choose not to cast shadows for an object

Cheers,

Steve

Hi @srksphillips ,

I think it is not possible to apply shadows based on objects. In InfraWorks shadows are switched on or off globally.

Regards,

Karsten.

I thought as much but it was worth asking just in case.

Thanks again Karsten.

I have the newest download of fusion and I cant find the view area you are speaking of, was the area changed in 360? I have the same issue with shadows while in the design mode.

Thats Sketchup, not Fusion, if you're referring to the above image.
