Lane Marking

Hello!

I would like to know if what I am trying to do is possible. I have an assembly (see IMG_01 attached). I have exported the Civil 3D project to IMX. Then, I have imported that IMX file in Infraworks. But... I do not understand why the center line is continuous and the line between the lane and the shoulder is discontinuous (see IMG_02 attached). I am trying to change the codes, but I do not get the result.

Thanks!

Hi @MBAlonso ,

it's difficult to guess why your middle stripe is continuous.
Which assembly did you use in Civil 3D exactly (name)?
Is there a sort of "null road" assembly used in InfraWorks with striping only?
What version of InfraWorks and Civil 3D do you use? As you might know, there is a new workflow in version 2021 where road corridors from Civil 3D come into InfraWorks exactly the same was as they are in Civil 3D, but they are read only there.

Regards,
Karsten.

Hello Karsten,

I am using Civil 3D 2021 and Infraworks 2021. The assemby I have created is very simple (LaneSuperelevationAOR + ShoulderExtendAll + BasicSideSlopeCutDitch).

After importing the IMX file in Infraworks, I have been able to configure how I see every subassembly link (with the mapping options). But... what I am not able to do is configure the lane marking. I am not sure if there is any mapping option for point codes.

Thanks!

Hi @MBAlonso ,

thanks, I can recreate the road striping issue on my side, but don't have a solution right now.
Let me research - I'll come back once I have news...

Regards,
Karsten.
