Infraworks is asking for a network license

I installed InfraWorks 2022 through my AEC Industry Collection on Autodesk Account. When I run it, FlexNet License Finder appears, I cancel that, then I get Network License Not Available and  [error -15.10.10061]. Close that and I get Specify a License Server. I am not using any network licenses and this should be letting me sign in at Autodesk.

If you're AEC Collection is on a network license, you need to get it added to the license file. This started with the 2021 version. No longer a true "360" product.

I uninstalled and re-installed, no difference. On Autodesk Account, it shows as a Sign In product. I am never asked whether I'm using a Single license or Network license. it just asks what type of Network License Server: Single, Redundant or Distributed, just like you do with Autodesk Multi-User products.

 

@Karsten.Saenger , any ideas?

Also, I tried the Autodesk instructions for switching from Network to Sign in, but it doesn't recognize the new version product key, nor the version number. I input that as 2022.0.0.F. This procedure has worked in the past, for Civil 3D, but that was 2021 and 2020.

Super weird. When I installed yesterday, it automatically logged me in and everything. Didn't ask a thing. However, that was the NFR version. Should still be the same.

I'm running a standalone version and this pops up

I I hit the "X" it goes away and IW opens but I can't select any objects nad more worryingly it doesn't ask if I want to upgrade the model...!!!

@neilyj666  You're getting the same error as I get. I do the same, click the X, which leads to InfraWorks opening.

 

InfraWorks does ask me to upgrade the model when I open one, but the advanced InfraWorks tools are disabled.

 

Maybe others reading this thread will want to hold off on installing 2022 until this is resolved. You can't have two versions installed like you can with Civil 3D.

@tcorey yes I always find the uninstall the old before installing the new a total PITA

Just about all ribbon options are greyed out - I think I may just uninstall and reinstall 2021 but it's late so it can wait until tomorrow

Same issue here. It does not recognize my sign in entitlements for InfraWorks even though it shows I'm signed in. Uninstalled 2022 and went back to 2021. 2021 now has the same licensing issue.

 

The one "good" thing is that the issue seems to be limited to InfraWorks and hasn't affected other installed Autodesk products in the collection.

Hi;

Same problem with me. However, when I installed Infraworks 2022 yesterday which I downloaded as a trial version, after logging in everything worked properly. I downloaded the official version today and it doesn't work.

Same problem occure when I switch from network license to single user subscription for Infraworks 2021 version.

@zrobert I'm just downloading 2021 to reinstall it and I may just hang off installing any other 2022 products for a few weeks to see if any other "enhancements" cause issues...!!!!

Hi @tcorey ,

 

I don't have a solution in the moment, but I'll take a look.

InfraWorks 2022 installed fine for me, all happened automatically and no license server is used.....

With the last version there should have been a selection dialog during installation to either use network or single sign on license option.
As this message did not appear for me with version 2022, I assume it uses the same option as in 2021.

I can remember some older forum posts with a similar license issue last year. The solution at that time was to do a clean re-installation of InfraWorks with the use of Microsoft FixIt:

@Karsten.Saenger I just uninstalled 2022 and reinstalled 2021 and the license issue persists. IW appears  to open in some sort of read only mode.

 

I'm afraid that this is totally unacceptable as I need to use IW to complete a project, please impress on the product/licensing team that this is a major issue now...

Hi @neilyj666 ,

 

I understand that this is a burning issue.
Did you do the clean un-install of all InfraWorks versions (including Sandbox if installed) as described in the article?
Did you also run Microsoft FixIt to search for anything remaing files for InfraWorks?

Please make sure ADSSO (Autodesk Single Sign On) and licensing component is up to date. Please set the license type manually to USER license using this tool:

As InfraWorks 2021 worked fine before I don't think the following article applies, but still wanted to mention to double check:

2. write: AdskLicensingInstHelper list (show list of autodesk product and licenses)
3. write: AdskLicensingInstHelper change -pk 927N1 -pv 2022.0.0.F -lm USER
- 000N1 is def_prod_key readed from above list for IW360P
- 2022.0.0.F is def_prod_ver readed from above list for IW360P
