They are from oblique photegraph.

Does Infrawroks support osgb?

If not, what other 3rd party softwares are needed?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,

image file size of 100Gb could be probelmatic in InfraWorks, but it's worth a try.

The OSGB file format (OpenSceneGraph) is not supported in InfraWorks. You will need a 3rd party program to convert it.
Maybe that is possible with OpenSceneGraph directly, other possibility is to use FME (Safe Software).

Karsten.

Thanks Karsten,

I'll try FME and then report back.

The file types below are both supported by Infraworks and FME, and they also support Coord .sys in FME.

Autodesk IMX

CitiGML (Use CityGML importer for Infraworks)

LandXML

SDF

SHP

Question:

1. Which file format should I use?

2. how to convert 30,000 osgb files into one (e.g. IMX) file in FME?

3. The osgb use EPSG:2437, does Infraworks supports it?

Hi @Anonymous ,

I am still not sure what exactly the osgb file type represents - is it Raster Data representing imagery?

If yes, none of the listed other file types can be used as these carry vector data only,

To answer question 2, the first question needs to be answered first. If a workflow is found to convert the data into a readable format, there might be a batch process available to convert the large amount of files.

EPSG 2437 is supported with Autodesk products Civil/Map 3D and InfraWorks:

Hi @Anonymous ,

so the OSGB file can represent vector geomatry with textures.

Can you check if FME can convert it to FBX? If your data are 3D models then I bekieve that is the best option.

If you data represents terrain surfaces, then try LandXML.

Regards,

Karsten.
