Hello everyone,
after multiple hours trying to export my 3d solids designed in civil 3d infraworks doesn't seem to accept any after they removed sbf from autocad this seemed to be impossible to get your object inside infraworks. i tried imx, dwfx, shp, everything the internet offered and I'm not successful infraworks only seems to import surfaces and pipes but not 3d solids from my DWG. I installed automesher and exported as obj i can see them in other softwares like cloud compare but inside infraworks i cant seem to import them, and the add in sbf converter doesnt work, im out of ideas everything appears except my 3d solid like my arch i made for example
any suggestions other what i mentioned could help, i have turned on in data import the naviswork but it doesnt help cause i need to install naviswork all together i already have civil 3d infraworks and recap pro.
already tried both, since they removed sbf export from civil3d 3d solids cant be exported unless you have navisworks manage and that's another software i don't have. the only option to me is the sbf unfortunately
Hi @admin89MEZ ,
have you tried to import as "AutoCAD DWG (3D objects)?
Regards,
Karsten
only detects surfaces and pipe network all my 3d solids are not detectable, and needs naviworks manage installed to be able to import 3d drawings, back in the day i export fbx my solid like a street lamp custom made and place it in infraworks
Hi @admin89MEZ ,
the data source import "AutoCAD DWG (3D objects)" cannot detect Civil 3D objecst, only 3D geometry like 3D solids.
It sounds as if you tried "Autodesk Civil 3D DWG", that can read Civil 3D objects only.
Regards,
Karsten.
