I have been working with Infraworks and various animation software and have always had a problem with my various software handling the FBX file from Infraworks. Lately, I have been using 3ds Max and found it virtually unusable. I split the objects by feature so I am loading in the ground mesh and building mesh separately. I have no issues with the ground mesh. But I am only loading in about 20 buildings, and my file size is enormous (120 MB) and 3ds Max struggles to load and always stops responding while trying to work. My fix was to set the building facade detail back to medium instead of high, and now the file size is only 2 MB - However, I lose a lot of visuals on the medium setting and in the end will end up needing to use the high detail model for the final render. I am expecting a lot of problems.
I found an Autodesk University presentation where the presenter exports a FBX from Infraworks with high building facade detail, and loads it into 3ds Max, and has 0 issues panning, moving around, loading it quickly, etc. And his file has a larger extent and much more detail in it than mine, like trees, people, and cars.

I have tried using different versions of Infraworks but the issue of file size and complexity remains the same. I have also had this issue while trying to import the FBX into Synchro, Navisworks, 3ds max, Fuzor, and SketchUp to name a few. So I believe the root of the problem is the export from Infraworks.
I am using Infraworks version 2021.2 - 21.2.15.0
3ds Max version - 2021 - 23.0.0.915
My computer specs are more than enough to handle both Infraworks and 3ds Max:
Ryzen 7 2700x
Asus 3090
64 GB RAM
All running on SSD's
Does anyone know how to find FBX export/import versions in 3ds Max and Infraworks? Could that be the issue?
