Disconnect a Model from the Cloud

I have a model which was created using the model builder, so of course, it is saved in the cloud.  I would like to disconnect it from the cloud and have the model exist only locally.  I have done this before, but the Disconnect Model button does not appear in 2017 or 2016.  Anyone have an idea why it's no longer there, or how I can do this without it?

I can delete the online model and thus I should have a local copy, but I'd quite possibly want to keep the cloud version there and in tact, I just want my local copy not to be connected.

Thanks in advance,

Matt Kolberg

On the Settings and Utilities menu you can use Duplicate.  This will let you save a local copy - you can choose a location and even change the name if you want.

Thanks. I'll use that as a workaround. I'm very curious where this tool went though, if anyone can chime in.

The duplicate option, which creates a local copy, is intended to be used instead.

Ah, ok. Thanks. I guess it's now time to suggest Autodesk indicate on their latest help page (2016) that this behavior no longer exists for 2016 or 2016.

Thanks you guys for the super quick responses. Case closed.

Thanks Matt, that's a solid suggestion. I think that we messaged this around the February 2016 release via the InfraTips and Product Webcasts, and we refrenced the duplicate model workflow in the Readme for 2016 but we probably should have been clearer about that change. We will take note of this in case there are any other planned changes around cloud/local model workflows for our next release and we can investigate whether to add a disclaimer to the help about Disconnect no longer being an option. BTW, we are actually on to InfraWorks 2017!

Best,

Elliott
