Deleting Overlapping Building Model

I am currently using model builder as a terrain and uploading bunch of model inside
The problem is that my models are overlapping with the model builder building

I have like 500+ building scatter around
Are there any faster way to remove the model builder building as my models are scattered around and it will be troublesome to locate one by one

Hi @kenny,

how do you delete the buildings currently? It sounds as you delete them one by one.

To remove all model builder buildings at once, just remove the "buildings" data source.

Karsten.

Hi @Karsten.Saenger,

My current situation is I want to delete partially
such that let say I have building block 1-10 in model builder

I upload building block 1-5,8-10
I just want to delete 6 and 7

the challenge here is since I'm using max allowable area and my buildings are scattered all over the place

Hi @kenny,

the problem is that model builder buildings are base on an OSM shape file that is not available as original data source. That means you can only edit all buildings as one object via the data sources or model explorer.

Maybe a workaround is to open the InfraWorks SQlite file in Map/Civil3D via FDO connection.

You will get all building footprints. Make your selections and delete what you don't need. Export the remaining footprints as shape/sdf file and import those as buildings into InfraWorks again. You will loose the model builder textures for buildings, but you can create your own style rule for textures in this case.

Regards,

Karsten.

Hi @Karsten.Saenger,

I am not that familiar with Civil3D

Would you mind if I drop you an email regarding the process?

Regards,

Kenny
