I'm trying to import AutoCAD dwg (3D Objects) but if I have the Navisworks based local import ticked....
.... I can't import my model (yes - I have Navisworks Manage 2025 installed) and get the following error messages which in typical Autodesk fashion are less than helpful.
...but after turning this Local Import off, the model imports as expected.
This is somewhat counterintuitive to me so can anyone shed any light on this behaviour
I also noted that there is no longer a 3D view of the model in the import dialog now - when did this change?
Thanks
Neil

Hi @neilyj666 ,
the missing 3D preview in the data source configuration is a known issue and it's already reported to the development team.
Regarding the local Navisworks import in InfraWorks 2025, I can recreate it as well on my side. I will create a support case for you and report it to the developers as well.
Regards,
Karsten.
@Karsten.Saenger Thanks for the update
I am also having difficulty bringing in a simple Revit building using the import Revit option and I also tried going Revit > NWC > FBX and import 3D Model in Infraworks and nothing appeared. I tried interactive placing and the fbx appeared briefly but disappeared when i placed it and it was nowhere to be seen.
Can you see if you can reproduce this behaviour too?

Hi @neilyj666 ,
are all problems with the "local Navisworks import" option?
I have created the support case. Can you upload Revit or FBX sample files to the case, so I can also test and report it to the developers?
Regards,
Karsten.
@Karsten.Saenger seems to be problems with both Local and Cloud import - I'll try again later today but in the meantime I'll upload the revit and fbx to the Support Case
EDIT: Files uploaded to Support Case
