Add Pavement Drainage Not Working

Hi everyone!

I have recently adquired the Infraestructure Design Suite 2016 and am currently on a trial version of IFWKS 360. When I try to use the option for "Add Pavment Drainage" to a design road, I press ENTER and no structures or pipelines show up. I have tried this feature in different models on the Tutorial Model and on ones created on my own, and nothing happens, no drainage network gets placed. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Also often times whenever I convert an existing road to design road, all the vertical profile elevations change. Don't understand why this is happening either. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Elke

Hi Elke,

Are you adding pavement drainage to a road that was converted to a Design Road or imported?

The Add Pavement Drainage command will appear on the right-click of a Design Road when the Road style it's using has a Curb track in the Right or Left Group. However, portions of the road that do not have curb will not get pavement drainage added.  If the Road was imported or converted try selecting the Road and reselecting the Style (Set Edit Mode to Style, and in the Zone section select the value next to Style).

If that doesn't work would you be able to share your model?  If so, I could send you a folder to copy it to... that would help troubleshoot the issue.

Hi Charlie thank you for your quick response. I'll keep those things in mind for the future.

My road style is "Sidewalk and Greenspace" which DOES have a Curb. It is an existing road taken from Model Builder from a specified area.

I would be interested in sharing the model, as I'm not sure if the problem is the installation in my computer or the model/program itself.  Where can I copy it to?

Also my Operating System is Window 7 Professional 64-bit. I checked the requirements and apparently it IS suitable for IFWKS. However it could need a Service Pack or something.

I sent you a separate message to get a copy of your model. Let me know if you didn't get it.
