Roads and bridge design

Hi everyone

I have two principal roads that they depart separate and then they arrive united on a bridge.

This bridge has two principals piers and is suspended. How i can to model the two separate roads and join them together in a single street?

how I can change the deck of a bridge? I want to switch between two separate decks to a single deck

thank you all
and sorry for my english

Michele

I must admit that I have never attempted this use case before. However, I think you can accomplish this by drawing one road that crosses your water body (and therefore is automatically created as a bridge), then drawing another road that intersects in the middle of the water body. This is what I came up with:

When looking underneath at the girders, this is definitely not a perfect solution. I'll ask the bridge team if they have any additional advice.

Thanks,

Hi @m.deviato

Unfortunately at this time there is not a way to combine two bridge decks into one.  As Elliott showed you can combine the roads into an intersection above the bridge.  However at this time bridge intersections are not supported.

Hi @m.deviato,

I would rather use Revit, maybe with the Civil Structures extension, for that intersection.

This is the best way to get the correct dimension. And then you can also retrieve quantities etc.

Best
