Licensing

You know what would be really great, is to be able to see what my Company has up to date on licenses for different software. I ask, because right now My Infraworks starts and I can open models, navigate, but I can't edit anything, nor start new models. I'm on version 17.3.133.0. On the opening page of IW, where the roadway and bridge modeler would show it now just says "Specialize" and Autodesk IW 360 below it.

It would also be really great if within the program itself it would alert me to a new available upgrade rather than me having to hunt for it in the manager webpage.

any help on what's going on?

Sounds like the trial period has expired.  Once that happens the program turns into a viewer application, much like Revit.

No, that's not it, My Company is supposed to have a full enterprise license of all Autodesk software, but there's no where for me to check. All I want to do is verify that they are maintaining the license for IW.

Hi @David.Hepp

Thanks for joining us on Answer Day today! If you'd like a list of your company's products and licensing you request a report from our Registration and Activation team using the link below:

 Request a License Report

For notifications on the latest service packs and updates I might recommend the Autodesk Desktop App. With this installed it will notify you when ones are available for your products, so you don't have to keep checking back on our site for them:

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!

You can manage your licenses through manage.autodesk.com.

From their, software administrators have additional options to be able to manage seats. Here's some information on modifying contract managers and software coordinators for your company: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/subscription-management/users-per...

Here's a blog post about how Software Administrators can manage seats of InfraWorks 360: http://autodesk.typepad.com/bimagination/2016/10/software-administrators-how-to-assign-an-infraworks...

If you go through these posts and still cannot figure out who the software administrator is for your company, feel free to email me: elliott(dot)rosenfeld(at)autodesk.com and I can track whoever that person is down, and respond to you by email.

Thanks,

Elliott

Thanks but, if I had all that info to fill in, chances are I'd know what licenses we had too. In a large corporation, so I don't have that specific data.

Hi @David.Hepp

Not a problem! The only fields that are required are your name, email address and the description box, the more you can tell us, such as your company name, and products you believe you have would be helpful in tracking those down for you! It's ok if you don't have the serial numbers or contract numbers up front. 🙂
