Infraworks to Lumion

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to get my infraworks model to come into lumion at 0,0,0? I've figured a way to bring in the model close to 0,0 but like 6000 ft in the air, we've been managing it for a while but I am wondering if there is a way to bring in in at 0,0,0.

Thanks,

Hi @pp0dYou can try send to 3Ds Max, move there to 0,0,0; export and import in the Lumion!

That still requires me to move it in another software, I am looking to avoid that all together.

@pp0d I understand, but Infraworks "works" about GIS

@pp0d, you can Export and Offset your InfraWorks 360 model to the Origin (0,0,0) right from the software. The screencast below shows you the steps and settings to take. It's realy easy actually.

The model is on large coordinates first and after FBX export and opened in Navisworks its right at the origin. Should work the same for Lumion also.

Let me know if this helps you?

Am I able to accomplish the same thing with 3DS Max?

@pp0d, do you mean that the model after FBX import is also located at the origin?

If so, then yes, it is. See this result after import in Max. Model is located very close to 0,0,0

That's awesome! Thank you! Now I have to figure out why my other model isn't exporting (New post) to try this.
