This Inventor Assembly sample of a Staircase incudes iLogic input and model rules, an iLogic form for configuring the model on the desktop as well as an Informed Design Product Definition (named Staircase Sample) that is complete and ready to Publish.
The Codeblock rules include an example of how to use a True/False Parameter to switch from Providing a Drop Down list of choices for a parameter to a Value Input that can be entered by the user within a specified min/max range with automatic rounding. Codeblocks are also used to control the visibility property of certain Input Parameters using the True/False value of other parameters as set by a user. Other codeblocks of interest are those that drive Input labels dynamically based on simple mathematical formulas that combine the use of local codeblock variables and Parameter values.
