The building component publisher uses Informed Design to design the interface that will be used in Revit to configure the model.
Informed Design uses Codeblocks to build the user input Form and define the allowable inputs.

In this article, we’ll learn how to use the External Inputs feature to make our Codeblock Logic easier to follow.
Complex logical or mathematical statements using nested inline Codeblocks can become long, extending off the screen and becoming difficult to follow.
An easy way to improve readability is to use External Inputs.
External inputs allow Codeblocks to be connected to the host block vertically, rather than horizontally, this shortens the connected blocks in their width.
To use External Inputs, right mouse click on a Codeblock and choose ‘External Inputs’.
To revert back to Inline Inputs, right-click on a Codeblock and choose ‘Inline Inputs’.
