Vault Synch and Conversion

It would be extremely helpful if Informed Design could synchronize with Vault Professional to manage product lifecycle workflows, enabling a seamless, integrated process between Inventor and Revit.

When opening a Revit file directly from Inventor using the Informed Design plugin, it would be ideal if the components generated by the plugin opened in Inventor as native models, extracted from Vault, rather than as converted representations.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say, "When opening a Revit file directly from Inventor using the Informed Design plugin, it would be ideal if the components generated by the plugin opened in Inventor as native models"  Can you please explain further?

Full integration between Informed Design and Autodesk Vault Professional.

Improved download practices. It would be much more useful to be able to convert a .rvt file into an .iam assembly. Families generated by Informed Design within the .rvt file would be extracted from Vault and displayed as native Inventor parts or subassemblies (including features and machining operations), while families created without Informed Design would appear as pure solids.

This would allow the plugin to be extended to companies whose workflows start in Revit and end in Inventor. Currently, however, this is not possible.
