ACC Bridge

With the new ACC Bridge capabilities, is it possible for me to publish my products to a Bridge folder and then have a link on my website allowing potential customers to see those products in their ACC?

Hi @kylegT2ZZF,

Informed Design products don’t appear as files in ACC Docs folders after being published from the Informed Design Add-in for Inventor; instead they are stored in our database. ACC folders are used strictly to manage access to these products through folder permissions; the products themselves are not files in the ACC folder. This means when you share Informed Design products via Bridge, you’re granting access to the folder where these products are managed, not transferring actual files.

The “Share with Anyone” link in ACC creates a temporary link to a landing page where link recipients can download a shared file, or files in a shared folder. But unfortunately, since ACC folders don’t contain actual files of Informed Design products, using a “Share with Anyone” link on your website would lead visitors to an empty folder.

There’s been a great deal of interest in sharing Informed Design products more publicly than Bridge would allow. We are exploring a possible integration with Content Catalog for future capabilities in this area. If you have specific needs or ideas around public content availability, please share them with our Product team on the IdeaBoard.
