Did you mean:

use dimension value from solid command also for sketch dimension

use dimension value from solid command also for sketch dimension

would be great to make the sketch distance use the thickness value for a thicken command.

Can't you just enter d16 in the dimension or +(d16) like this, or am I missing something?

Yep this works already - because D16  -3mm  I have to write d921= -(d16)  to turn -3 into +3 mm.

While this makes sense it would be nice to use -3 as well so a line can be left (negative y) or right (positive y)

that doesnt work.

So maybe this idea should be changed into how values are used.

I see what you mean now, I suppose one option would be a function that would return an unsigned number, something like unsign(d16). Or just make dimensions ignore the sign but that would be a bit ambiguous.

Edit Just remembered there's a function already, you can enter abs(d16) and you will always have a positive number returned.
