It would be really handty to be able to split or trim T-Spline faces using sketch geometry. I'm not sure if that would be possible or not but it would seem like it would make the workflow alot easier.
To do this you have to use the design timeline where you can sketch the TS model, exit the mode let it convert to Brep and trim the result with a sketch.
TS being poly based cannot technically be trimmed.
There is research underway to provide T-Spline trimming with options for graphically trimming similar to trimmed NURBS and re-evaluated boundaries and when the work is ready I am sure we will want to include it. For now Claas is right that conversion to BRep is the patch to defining a boundary.
