Spline Import and Export from Sketches

Spline Import and Export from Sketches

Currently, sketches can be exported from Fusion 360 in *.dxf format. However, this export does convert splines to line segments instead of keeping 'real' polynomial curves.

It would be of great value if splines could be exported, manipulated in a vector drawing tool and re-imported to Fusion 360. This would make it possible to accurately design artwork for flat faces. In combination with an improvement of the 'decal-application' interface, the artwork (as raster image) can be positioned precisely on the face formed by the splines (it should be possible to easily position the decal relative to the sketch plane rather than the face).

This feature would further improve the utility of Fusion 360 for laser-cutting and engraving projects.

Thank you for this great tool! 🙂
