Show what constraints prevent a sketch modification such as moving

Often times when moving segments in a sketch, nothing happens because constraints prevent it. Other times, adding a constraint fails and an error shows that "other" constraints keep you from adding this one.

It would be fantastic if we could get a visual queue showing what constraints are in effect, for example by highlighting them in red when performing the action.

Thanks so much!

Status changed to: Future Consideration

This is in our backlog, but we're not sure when we can get to this yet. It'll be up for future consideration.

I think this is the biggest hurdle for new users.

Fusion is like a compiler without error messages. Just imagine you try to compile a program and the compiler tells you:

There was an error.

This is a must.  Highlighting constraints involved is ONE way to inform the user, but all constraints might not be visible in the user's view, so this mechanism should be supplemented by optionally generating a  'report' which itemises and explains the involved constraints.  It should be possible to locate/delete constraints from the report.

Could a prototype sketch of the geometry be produced to explain how the constraints relate....

Fusion 360 really needs tools to analyse a design.  Currently it is far easier to rebuild small designs from scratch than edit a buggy design.  That approach won't work for big designs.
