fillet all edges of a body

fillet all edges of a body

Rule fillet is nice but there are certain times when every edge must have a fillet (make those renderings look sexy) and selecting all those edges or faces is a massive pain. There should be a tool where you click a body or even component and it fillets all the edges.

Don't know if you know, there is a selection filter select through that allows window selection of all edges of a body. Not quite as quick as selecting from the browser and it will select everything in the window so a problem if there are other bodies you don't want to fillet.

If this is needed only for renderings, it would be great if there was an option to virtually round all edges via the rending engine. Keyshot does this - You select the body material and add a value for rounded edges. The model doesn't change, but the rendering will reflect the rounded edges.

Just to clarify, are you looking to apply edges to mainly for rendering purposes? If so, we have a project we're currently working on called rounded edges where in the rendering environment, you can turn it on so that it renders your model with appearance fillets so that it looks awesome in renders. Does this sound like what you are looking for?

Is there a way to deselect some of the edges collected after a window selection in a fillet operation?
