Delta XYZ for lines/faces

Delta XYZ for lines/faces

Currently, when using the measure tool, the delta XYZ only shows up when selecting two points. In solidworks, the XYZ deltas shows up, even when you select two edges or even two faces (see pic below). Sometimes you just want to know the X distance (or y or z) between two parallel lines rather than the diagonal.

Also, the distance line should not be green, it is easily confused with the Y delta at first glance.

The Measure tool could be a lot more helpful. Several of these items have been mentioned elsewhere by others.

1) When measuring a face, body or component, display the x, y and z extents. When reviewing a model these very basic parameters come up all the time.

2) enable toggling ft. / inch / metric display units.

Yes it is possible to root around in the timeline and or browser to find the starting point sketch and modification parameters but it lacks the immediacy of being to point at something and find out how big it is.

Having xyz delta for all selected entities, not just points,  would make a great enhancement.

Is this technically difficult to do, or has it just been prioritised low? It was suggested three and a half years ago, and set to future consideration nearly 3 years ago.
