hi to all.
i see there's a request for export to collada. but not a request for a proper import into fusion, and a successive transformation of the imported file into a solid object.
Why collada to fbx, cause already autodesk have done a translator between the 2 format, (stopped since 2013),
and the second step of the request if is there a chance to make a feature recognising and an autoclean of the imported fbx.
i look as example what spaceclaim do with skp files, https://blog.sketchup.com/sketchupdate/mechanical-design-everyone-spaceclaim-3d-direct-modeling, and as is true the 2 companies worked togheter on skp, Autodesk have already worked with collada files, and i think fusion team could deliver a better result than the ones spaceclaim have done with collada.
Reason to do that?
1) 3d warehouse reamain today the biggest repo of things out there.
2) with good collada we get onboard a lot of new types of users even the ones that work with videogames, (more people more creativity...).
3) collada would be the "step file" of the future...
hope this little idea pass trough and have his way to the devs
Thanks
