Coil close ends option

I was trying to model some springs which had their ends closed and I was not able to do it since I don't have the option to add close ends.

It would be nice to have:

1. Close ends option in the Coil feature.

2. Ground ends.

I believe this will allow modelling springs a lot more practical and easy.

Oh my gosh, automating this would be fantastic!   Great idea!

Please implement this feature! The only available workarounds provide less than satisfactory results, i.e. kinks in the coil between pitch transitions. The ability to easily animate spring compression/extension would also be a fantastic addition.
