Allow multiple instances of the same model with different parameters.

I have a nice parametric assembly of a hinge. Sometimes, I need a 2" hinge. Sometimes, a 10". Sometimes I need both in the same new assembly.

Currently, the only way to do this is to have different copies of the hinge assembly with different parameters. In that situation, changes made to the assembly will not propagate to the other derived assemblies.

Ideally, I'd have one hinge model with parameters, and then I would be able to adjust those parameters in the instance that is in the assembly.

The assembly would keep notation of only the parameters that changed. Perhaps that would be shown on the timeline?

In other CAD software this is known as Configurations. E.g. Solid Works, Solid Edge, Geomagic Design.

I'ts already been confirmed by AD that his will be implemented at some point in time but it's further out than the current roadmap shows.
